Southampton Club To Continue!

Adrienne Griffiths
Adrienne Griffiths

Following the very sad recent news about the death of Adrienne Griffiths at The St Audries Folk Festival we have been told that the Southampton Club is to continue running. As chance would have it Adrienne’s daughter Barbara has recently taken to playing her accordion again and has decided to keep the club going herself.

Here at Accordion Central and through Carillon Accordion Festivals we all knew Adrienne well. She was a respected teacher, player and loved the instrument with a passion. Angie Lukins told us ” I was absolutely devastated when I heard and I’ve been so sad ever since”. There have been many tributes on social media and we have also received many here at Accordion Central.

Barbara has also let us know that Adrienne’s funeral will be held 2.30 on Tuesday 20th September 2016 at Wessex Vale Crematorium, Bubb Lane, West End. Southampton SO30 2HL. Adrienne loved bright colours so please wear something colourful and bright.
